Measure the cover, not the old foam. Remove the insert, zip the empty cover, lay it flat on a table and smooth it without stretching.
What to measure
Width: left to right, seam-to-seam across the centre.
Depth: front to back, seam-to-seam across the centre.
Height (thickness): measure the side panel from stitch line to stitch line (ignore piping).
Shape notes
Rounded / bull-nosed fronts: take Depth through the middle to the furthest point of the curve.
T or L shapes: measure the overall width, the width of each arm/stem, and the common Depth. A quick sketch helps avoid mix-ups.
Curved corners: measure Width and Depth at the widest points shown by the shape.

Keep the zip closed while measuring.
Measure stitch-to-stitch (not over piping).
Write measurements clearly and double-check units/orientation before selecting from the dropdowns.
If two measurements look close, re-measure—don’t guess.
